I’ve been working with John Kelly on the Kellycaster since 2016 in collaboration with DMLab, project manager Gawain Hewitt, and guitar maker Jon Dickinson. For this project I developed string detection software using Bela, and we built chord management in Max/MSP through extended conversation over the course of a couple of years (and lots of road testing!)
In this video, which we created for the Cripping the Muse conference at the University of Leeds in 2018, we discuss the collaborative aspects of the project.
